Running for a second year the annual Hereford Photo Competition, in conjunction with The Irish Hereford Breed Society and Irish Hereford Prime brings you its prize winners and beautiful photos. Covering lots of categories from shows to calves, cows to bulls and cross bred animals. And the final category of your favourite cut of beef.

Tennyson Egar of Irish Hereford Prime said that he “would encourage people of all ages to get out and enjoy photographing their animals and to also have a go at the Video or Prime Beef categories when there are significant prizes to be won”. We received lots and lots of fantastic entries this year.  Renowned professional photographer Jeff Harvey, has been a great supporter of our competition and put together a video to give some tips on how to photograph the animals to look their best. Jeff is also providing a one on one mentoring session along with a family farm photograph, as one of our prizes.

Each winning category photo, along with all of the finalists appear in our 2022 Charity Hooves4Hospice calendar, such an important cause and a lovely way for our winners to be showcased across the year. This year Tamara Kenny and her photo captioned Pecking Order appears on the front cover.
